Chronos Paradox: Project Bluebird

The sky is no longer ours. Massive, chitinous 'Spires' descend from the clouds, harvesting the very air we breathe. Human resistance has been crushed, reduced to small pockets of survivors living in the ruins of a global graveyard. But there is one final hope. Deep beneath the wreckage of Geneva, the Chronos Agency has powered up the 'Ouroboros'—a device capable of sending a single agent back through the temporal stream. Your target: August 14, 1986. The location: The Bluebird Radio-Telescope Array in the Nevada desert. History records this day as the birth of 'The Great Call,' a rogue experiment by a group of idealistic scientists who believed we were not alone. They were right. The signal they broadcast was intercepted by a predatory hive-mind across the galaxy. It didn't bring hope; it brought a map to our front door. You have exactly 48 hours before your physical form destabilizes and you are snapped back to the present. You must infiltrate the high-security facility, identify the transmission lead, and ensure the signal is never sent. Whether you use sabotage, social engineering, or cold steel, the signal must die. If you fail, there will be no future to return to—only the airless silence of an alien world. The Nevada desert heat is a shock after the perpetual winter of the future. You stand on a ridge overlooking twenty massive satellite dishes, their white surfaces gleaming under the 1986 sun. You have a suppressed pistol, a holographic terminal hidden in your wrist-link, and a head full of memories that haven't happened yet. The Bluebird facility is guarded by military MPs and a security system that is primitive by your standards, but lethal nonetheless. You are a ghost from a future that must not be.
