Introduction
The year is 1936. Deep within the sweltering jungles of the Amazon, the 'Temple of the Sun-God' has finally been unearthed. For centuries, it was nothing more than a myth used by the local tribes to ward off treasure hunters. But you have the map—and the grit—to prove it's real. Inside, resting on a pedestal of solid obsidian, lies the 'Eye of Inti,' a six-pound golden idol said to grant its owner eternal luck.
You are Dr. Julian Vance, an archeologist who prefers a bullwhip to a bookshelf. You have successfully bypassed the rotating floor-traps and the poisonous dart-walls to reach the inner sanctum. But as your hand closes around the gold, the temple begins to tremble. The Sun-God doesn't like thieves. To make matters worse, your former partner—now a rival for hire—has surrounded the temple with a platoon of mercenaries.
Now, you must find a way out through the forgotten tunnels, manage your dwindling water and ammo, and keep the Eye of Inti from falling into the wrong hands. In the Temple of the Forbidden Idol, the treasure is just the beginning of the trouble.
The air is thick with dust and the smell of ancient decay. Every step you take triggers a new mechanism: swinging blades, collapsing floors, and rooms that rapidly fill with sand. Behind you, the mercenaries are blasting their way in, their submachine guns echoing through the hollow stone. You'll need to use your wits, your whip, and every ounce of your luck to reach the seaplane waiting on the river. The Sun-God is angry, and he wants his Eye back.
